My work, in both book arts and photography, is a contemplation on the sensual ways in which people inhabit their spaces, traditions, and cultures. I am continually intrigued by how people interact and are affected by their environment and surrounding landscape. In part, this fascination comes from my own attempts to quell the unanswerable questions posed by being (on this planet, in that relationship, in one body, etc.). I have no misconceptions that my quest to dissect, question, and visualize the human experience is a unique one. Yet, I will continue, with no intention of stumbling upon answers, to catalogue, document, and savor, the ways in which we go about our lives.
